Animesh didn’t start in macroeconomics. He started in engineering at IIT Kharagpur, moved into supply chain consulting, and then spent seven years deep inside institutional fixed income and valuation — where he learned, firsthand, that every security price is a macro opinion in disguise. Agency MBS prepayment models are interest rate bets. Private equity valuations are growth-cycle bets. The asset just gives you a different window into the same macroeconomic forces.

That realisation is what drove him to build India Macro Indicators from the ground up — a platform where economic signals are tracked in real time, not interpreted after the fact. He wanted to create the macro research infrastructure he wished existed when he was making institutional valuation calls: timely, structured, and connected to what actually matters for capital allocation.

Today, the platform tracks 150+ indicators across sub-indices, and the research team he has built produces macro commentary, global risk analysis, and asset allocation frameworks used by SEBI-registered advisors, fund managers, and institutional investors across India.
